ISTVAN DIOSZEGI
Coach Istvan began his weightlifting career in 1992 at the age of 11. He was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania where he was selected by the National Youth Team to leave his family and train full-time. At 17 years old he was selected for the Senior National team in Bucharest where, having achieved national and international medals and breaking over 60 Romanian records, he was the youngest member selected for Athen's 2004 Olympic team.
Shortly after he enrolled in the Romanian Intelligence Service where he continued to train on the Senior National team until his move to Arizona in 2012.
At 29 years old he competed in his last senior international competition: Weightlifting World Championships in China. Presently he continues to lift and compete as a Master's athlete both nationally and internationally.
The only thing which matches his love for athletic pursuit is his passion for sharing the sport with people regardless of experience, developing athletes (beginner to professional), and acting as a life-coach to his members.
About the Olympia Method
Olympia Method is developed and designed by head coach and owner Istvan Dioszegi, Romanian International Lifter, with over 20 years weightlifting experience. This program has grown out of the Romanian National system which took young and inexperienced athletes and developed them into elite level performers. The Olympia Method is born from Istvan's many years as an athlete and coach, designed and proven to be effective across many populations.
